Excellent images but only can view with Kasa MOBILE application and Alexa/Echo Show The price was hard to beat at about $40 per camera (I got two). The imagery from it is excellent and the two-way sound works well.BUT… this ONLY works with the Kasa Mobile application (iPhone in my case). This is an almost fatal flaw for me.UPDATE: I can also view the cameras with Alexa on a Fire HD 8 tablet and could see them on an Echo Show if I had one.The camera does not show up on the TP-Link cloud site even when logged into that in the iPhone app. Apparently, a TP-Link camera and a Kasa camera from TP-Link are not the same. See the screenshot from TP-Link about Kasa Care where it says in bold red type the Kasa cameras are only supported by the MOBILE application. There is apparently no way to get the video stream any other way than using the mobile app. Therefore unlike my 25 other cameras from six different vendors, I cannot add this to the Blue Iris camera controller/recorder.This system has the same flawed…
Kasa spot and hidden fees It could be a good camera but after installing one of the Kasa Spot KC100 you find that the FREE storage is only for 3 hours. Yes only three hours not days. If you want more plan on paying additional $40++ a year. For a few dollars more you can buy the Kasa Indoor KC120 and get 2 days of free storage. I found the KC120 also seems to have a much better build and is much more stable on wifi. The question about free storage answered by the Manufacture above is only for one camera when the KC100 was not sold. This is very misleading. Now the hassle of returning everything.
