Do not buy this I received router a few days ago, it seems a bit heavy, but it is made of high quality.  I have a large network with 5 Linksys VelopØ I have set up router, the main then I added the first node and so on.Everything has been added smoothly, and so far the network works excellently.I noticed that the performance of the device is strong, reliable, but there is a fluctuation in the signal on IOS devices, I did not know why. You can only set this up with a mobile app, are you kidding me? No, that can’t be right, right? This is close to the most expensive home router/wifi there is on here. Well, let’s go to 192.168.1.1 and see. — A single page telling you that you MUST go download and install their app on your phone to use this expensive supposedly real piece of computer hardware. What a joke. I am returning this and will likely never buy another linksys router again.
Do not buy if you want all the described features, especially support for a USB hard drive.. Great wireless router, easy to setup. Bought this to replace an Apple AirPort Extreme that had a USB hard drive connected to it that gave the family access to music, pictures and movies. The MR8300 looked like the ideal replacement because the specifications said it had USB port for file storage support, great speeds for 4K HD TV and mesh technology.
