Purchased due to Comcast price increase Purchased the Arris SBG10 due to Comcast internet service price increase along with their modem lease increase. I selected the Arris SBG10 because the modem from Comcast was Arris and it worked for 1 year flawlessly. It works with Xfinity & faster & USES A FRACTION of “data usage” (now 3 months) I called Comcast to double-check this modem and model will work with Comcast. “Yes”. Only concern is it new? They can’t take a previous customer off that internet acct to activate modem without that user calling in and going through closing process. Buy New Only! Within 10 minutes it was going. Took rented modem into Comcast the next morning. They said call in (or Chat) to have the modem activated with specifics on the account. Did that through chat. It took 5 minutes and now on…

Great modem/router Saved me money! My laziness was costing me money. Xfinity/Comcast fees go up whenever the wind changes direction and I finally had to get my own modem. Called my ISP and had the signal sent. Followed the directions that came with the router and changed the password and network name and now I have internet.
